Chapter 01:
Tiny Prints

I was a designer at the online stationery startup, Tiny Prints, and did everything from email marketing and website design to packaging and lobby wall graphics. I put in long hours and learned so much from the talented Tiny Prints founders and leaders, especially my Creative Director and mentor at that time, Daniel Louie.

Tiny Prints was acquired in 2011 by Shutterfly for $333M. I really enjoyed the startup culture we built at Tiny Prints. We were a little family accomplishing big things and having lots of fun along the way. I built friendships and relationships during my Tiny Prints’ days that I still have today.

Chapter 02:
Shutterfly

Now part of the Shutterfly family, I was promoted to Sr. Designer and led a new creative team who launched Treat, Shutterfly’s greeting card (and personalized gifts) brand at the time. From a creative standpoint, I oversaw email marketing, social media marketing, web design, display ads and print projects. I also worked cross-functionally with product developers, engineers, project managers, SEO experts, and marketers. I produced and art directed many photoshoots to capture fresh photography for our products to use in various marketing channels.

Launching Treat was a great learning experience and achievement for me as I worked with many different teams across many disciplines to accomplish a common goal―put the user’s needs first and create the best online greeting card platform on the planet.

My favorite experience was producing and directing photo shoots every quarter for our product/lifestyle photography. I had the opportunity to work with talented photographers, stylists, and models.
